OECTA has partnered with Blendable to provide a Health Spending Account (HSA) to help eligible Members take care of their health and well-being.
This HSA is extra support on top of your OECTA ELHT Benefits Plan administered by OTIP. It’s here to help you stay strong and balanced, especially with the increased demands of your leadership role.
Let’s take a look at your Plan.
The Details
Annual contribution
Each Member on the Plan will receive $2,000.00 annually, which will be available for reimbursement of eligible expenses.
Benefit Period
Your Benefit Period runs from 07-01 to 06-30, each year of your Plan, starting 2025-07-01. This means you can submit claims for expenses you’ve incurred during this time.
At the end of the Benefit Period, you’ll also have 30 days to submit any expenses you might not have had a chance to submit during the Benefit Period.
Eligible expenses
This HSA is focused on supporting your mental and physical resilience. Some examples of eligible expenses include:
- Paramedical services (like massage therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic care)
- Mental health services (like psychology, counselling, psychotherapy)

Member-only eligibility
This Plan is just for you – it's Member-only coverage. Expenses for your dependants aren’t eligible for reimbursement through your HSA.
Use your OECTA ELHT Benefits Plan first
Since this HSA is designed to supplement your existing benefits, we encourage you to submit claims to your OECTA ELHT Benefits Plan first.
Your HSA can help reimburse any unpaid portions of eligible expenses that fall within the approved list.
Submitting claims
You’ll submit claims in your online Member Centre. During the submission process you’ll be able to attach any documents to support your claim.
Anything Else?
You’ll be able to login to your Member Centre to check your HSA balance, review your personal details or track your claims.
