Managing email addresses in your Member Centre

Overview

Keeping your account information up to date is essential, especially your email address. Your email is how you log in to your secure online Member Centre, and how we contact you if we need to follow up on a claim or share important updates about your Plan.

Did you know you can add more than one email address to your profile? We recommend using at least one personal email address and making that your primary. That way, if your work situation changes, you’ll still be able to access your account and receive important information from us.

Updating or managing your email addresses is easy, and we’ll walk you through it below.

The details

Why you should add a personal email address

Your work email may be convenient, but it’s tied to your employment. If leave your job or your email is deactivated, you could lose access to:

  • Submitting new claims
  • Checking the status of past claims
  • Accessing your claim history and reports
  • Receiving important messages about outstanding claims

That’s why we recommend always adding a personal email address and making it your primary email address.

How to add login email addresses to your profile

  1. Log in to your secure online Member Centre.
  2. Click the dropdown next to your name and select Manage Profile.
  3. Choose Manage Emails from the options available.
  4. On the next screen, enter the additional email address you’d like to add and click Add Email.
  5. A verification email will be sent to that address—click the link in that email to confirm it’s you.

Once verified, you’ll be able to log in using any of the email addresses associated with your profile.

How to update or remove an email address

You can also use the Manage Emails section to:

  • Change your primary email address - Select the email you’d like to make primary and click the ‘Make Primary’ button.
  • Remove an old or unused email - Select the address you want to remove and click ‘Remove’.
  • Verify an unverified address - Click ‘Re-send Verification’ beside any email that hasn’t yet been verified. Then, click the link in the confirmation email.

Anything else?

Even if you’re no longer submitting claims, you may want to access reports or documentation for past expenses. That’s why it’s important to keep your contact information current, especially your email address.
